Enhancing the territory
by exalting the characteristics of the grape

Our mission

We strongly believe that the main mission of a winery is to enhance the territory hosts it through an accurate processing of native and international grape varieties. Our aim is the recovery of an ancient agricultural past which, with no frenzy of modern time, can be among the highest expressions of Made in Italy. We therefore have a duty to protect the grapes that we see ripen in the vineyards day after day. We can do this by means of agronomic techniques that respect nature and processes in the cellar supported by the most modern technologies.

The Vinification

The secret of our craftsmanship is in the vinification made by a certified organic and modern-concept winery, which works obsessively as if it were a haute couture atelier. The grapes coming from owned vineyards are harvested manually and are located a few hundred meters from the winery. We carry out the harvest for individual parcels of vineyard by picking small quantity of grapes (10 quintals), to guarantee perfectly intact grapes and avoid possible mashing processes. The process continues with an immediate crushing and the transfer of the must into thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks, each one dedicated to a single vineyard. The next-generation containers are also equipped with an automatic nitrogen saturation system, essential for safeguarding the grapes during processing.

The Maturation

For the maturation process, in addition to stainless steel tanks, we use 10hl-barrels, 500L-tonneau and barriques. All containers are made of medium toasted French oak. Bottling takes place in the cellar.

The winemaker: Marco Mascellani

Our greatest ally is the winemaker-consultant Marco Mascellani, one of the most appreciated professionals in national oenology. Born in Rome and raised in Umbria, Marco is so in love with Apulia that he chose Lecce as the location of his headquarters. In his portfolio he already has several awards and important acknowledgments as an exceptional winemaker, with the added value of having gained important experience operating in various regions of Italy. Our production perfectly reflects his idea of wine: extreme elegance and strength in the glass that are achieved through a continuous and careful experimentation.
